Last week, I had the pleasure of photographing a beautiful 6-week-old baby boy in my studio.
Working with older newborns is always a little different — it requires more patience, a lot of gentle soothing, and a little bit of luck (and maybe a prayer that the odds are in my favor!). But every moment spent was completely worth it.

While the “ideal” window for newborn photos is usually within the first two weeks, I want to tell you this: it is never too late to capture the beauty of your baby.
Every milestone, every tiny stretch, every sleepy (or wide-eyed!) look is pure magic.

I know firsthand that being a new mom is overwhelming. Between sleepless nights, constant feedings, and just trying to survive each day, the thought of finding and booking a photographer might feel impossible. And that’s okay. You are doing your best.
This is why I always encourage moms-to-be to book ahead of time if possible — so when the time comes, you can just relax, show up, and let me take care of the rest.

But even if you didn’t book early, don’t worry — you haven’t missed your chance.

Whether your baby is 2 weeks or 6 weeks or beyond, your story deserves to be captured. These fleeting moments are treasures you’ll hold onto forever, long after the newborn fog has lifted.
Live in the moment. Celebrate the journey you’re on.
And let me help you remember just how small, how precious, and how deeply loved your baby was at this beautiful stage.
